Tragic events unfolded on May 5, 2016, in southern California. A car crash in Whittier, California left a 4 year old injured after the reckless driver of the sports vehicle drove into his family home. Police officials claim a red 2003 Nissan 350Z sped through Marquardt Avenue, south of Imperial Highway, but failed to turn right into Imperial Highway. This caused the driver to steer his car off of the road and right into the wall of the family. The victim of the auto accident was sound asleep in his bed when the driver slammed into his bedroom only 15 minutes after midnight. The car came to a stop right on top of the child, according to Highway Patrol officers. Fortunately for the child firefighters from Los Angeles County were able to get him from out from under the car with only minor injuries and some pain. There was also an 18 year old victim who suffered some injuries from the debris caused by the crash although he was not directly struck by the vehicle. Afterwards, a tow truck had to pull the vehicle out of the family’s home. The suspect has been arrested and may be facing charges related to this event.
