Motorcyclist Hit by Union Pacific Train in Oakland

Oakland, California (April 27, 2018) – A motorcyclist was injured in a collision involving a Union Pacific train on Thursday afternoon in East Oakland.

According to a report by a railroad spokesperson, the accident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. April 26, near 99th Avenue along Union Pacific’s Niles Subdivision.

The motorcyclist is reported to have sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries in the collision.

No one else was injured in the crash.
