Four Injured After Elderly Woman Crashes Into Trader Joe’s Grocery in Encinitas

Encinitas, California (January 26, 2017) – According to an article by Fox 5 News, four woman were injured Thursday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a grocery store in Encinitas.

The accident took place at about 2:40 p.m. in front of a Trader Joe’s in the 100 block of N. El Camino Real.

Reportedly, the woman, 87, in a 2002 Honda Accord, was parking out of a parking store while leaving the store when she allegedly mistook the gas pedal for a break and crashed into the store hitting four women.

The four women, believe d to be in their early 50s to late 80s, suffered minor injuries in the crash. Three of them were taken to the hospital for treatment while the fourth declined to be transport.

The driver was cited for driving without a license.
