Hill County, Texas (May 8, 2017) – A 32-year-old man died Saturday morning after two vehicles collided in Hill County, according to a local news source.

The accident took place at about 7 a.m. on State Highway 22, just outside the Hillsboro city limits going west.

Reportedly, David Christopher Hernandez of Abilene drove his SUV into the eastbound lanes to pass another westbound car and collided head-on with a concrete truck.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene, and the truck driver sustained incapacitating injuries.  The man was transported to Baylor Scott and White in Waco.

The incident remains under investigation.
