Major Injuries Sustained in San Jose 280 Freeway Traffic Collision

San Jose, California (January 18, 2016) – At least one person was injured Tuesday evening in a crash involving possibly three vehicles in San Jose,  the California Highway Patrol reported.

The accident took place last evening at about 7:53 at the Southbound Interstate 280 Freeway and 10th Street Exit.

While the manner in which the accident occurred was not indicated in the report, about three vehicles were involved. No description of the vehicles was provided.

Firefighters and an ambulance responded to the scene and found at least one party with major injuries.

The paramedics attended to the injured person before transporting them to the hospital.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
