Bryan, TX: 2 Children Ejected From Vehicle After Crash at East MLK Street and N Earl Rudder Freeway

Bryan, Texas (April 12, 2017) – Five children and a 17-year-old driver were injured after two vehicles were involved in a traffic collision in Bryan Tuesday afternoon, according to a report.

According to Bryan police, the accident took place between an SUV and a Monte Carlo at the intersection of East Martin Luther King Jr. Street and the North Earl Rudder Freeway West frontage road.

Five adults and four children were on board the Tahoe at the time of the crash. The adults were wearing seatbelts while the children were not. All five children were injured. No adult was hurt in the accident.

Reportedly, an 8-year-old and a 9-year-old were ejected from the Tahoe.  Reportedly, the 8-year-old sustained non-life threatening injuries while the 9-year-old was in a serious condition and was reportedly taken to Children’s Hospital in Temple. Three other children were, 10, 13, and 16 years old, sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Monte Carlo, a 17-year-old, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital. The teen was cited for driving without a license while the SUV driver received five citations for unrestrained passengers.

The accident remains under investigation.
