Four Cars, One Big Rig, One Dead In Pleasonton, CA

One was killed in a collision that involved four vehicles and one big rig. This crash occurred on the early morning commute, when everybody was just trying to go to work. The crash happened shortly before 6 AM.

No information about the person who was killed has been released. However, there were fortunately no other injured parties involved in the multi-vehicle accident. This is not to be expected, especially when there is a collision involving so many people.

Authorities report that during the crash, some of the vehicles were aflame. After the incident, they had been completely destroyed by the fire. The deceased was apparently trapped inside of his or her vehicle as the car went up in flames. The authorities had to cut the vehicle open to get this individual out of the car. When the other car caught fire, however, the driver was able to escape.

After the crash, there was a major traffic jam for miles. People who were commuting to work were left to sit in their vehicles until 9 AM. Apparently, the people in their vehicles caught in the traffic jam were tweeting about the incident, which is how many people learned about the accident.

Authorities do not believe that alcohol was involved and it should not be considered a causal mechanism of this incident.
