Fresno, CA.—A fatal big rig crash nearly ended in an apartment building collision.

Police Investigators express that the big rig driver traveled off of Highway 99 at dangerous speeds, colliding with a concreted wall, finally landing into a few parked cars.
The truck driver of the big rig was announced as deceased on impact, while injuring another passer-by.

California Highway Patrol defines the accident to being an unavoidable cause, simply crashing into a wall after running off of the shoulder of the road.

Fortunately, the truck came to an abrupt stop just feet away from a large apartment complex, housing many occupants, who could have been severely injured if the truck had crashed into the building. Some occupiers explain that they were afraid of something tragic to happen similar to the crash, since the complex is positioned beside a major highway.
Hazmat teams were organized to clean up fuel that leaked from the big rig, onto the roadways during the crash.
There have been no further updates, at this time, as to why the driver ran the truck off of the road.
