Two vehicles were involved in a crash that led to a big rig crashing into a burger restaurant. The drivers of both of those vehicles sustained serious injuries and were taken to a local hospital to receive emergency medical treatment.

The incident occurred shortly after three in the morning. It was near the intersection of South Hoover Street and West Florence Avenue. The police report that the big rig crashed through Tom’s Jr Burger. Both of the male drivers were trapped into their vehicles and required assistance from authorities to get out. The LAPD report that both men sustained serious injuries after being extracted from their chicles.

However, the silver lining of this event is that the burger joint is not open overnight. This means that there were no customers in the restaurant enjoying a late night cheeseburger. Everybody had gone home. So the building suffered physical damage, but there was nobody inside to endure any unexpected injuries.

Authorities are still a little unclear about what caused the incident. They do not know which driver was at fault (whether it was one of the two drivers in small vehicles or the big rig driver). There are several possible options. One of the drivers could have been distracted by their phone. They could be drowsy or under the influence. Authorities are unsure.
