Mother Dies, Child Injured in Pedestrian Accident Alhambra Avenue in Los Angeles
Fatal Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident Alhambra Avenue in Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California (February 23, 2017) – A mother, 32, was killed and a 2-year-old child injured Wednesday following an auto versus pedestrian crash in Los Angeles
The incident took place at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday evening in the 5200 block of Alhambra Street at El Sereno Community.
According to the report, a woman carrying a child was first struck by a vehicle that fled the scene immediately after the crash. The Hispanic woman was then struck by another vehicle after the initial crash.
She was sadly pronounced dead at the scene while her 2-year-old son suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle remained at these scene after the crash.
The hit-and-run driver is said to be driving a dark-colored Honda SUV and is being sought by the police.
The incident remains under investigation.
