At 8:30pm a collision occurred between another vehicle and a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was a forty year old man. He died at the scene of the accident. His name was not released to the public at the time of the accident.

There was no description given of the other driver. However it was reported that the other driver did stay on scene. There was no report at the time of the other driver being cited or arrested for the accident. It is assumed drugs or alcohol were not involved.

The motorcyclist was struck on the northbound side of the Pacific Coast Highway close to Topanga Canyon Boulevard. The accident did cause the Pacific Coast Highway to have lane closures. The northbound side was closed from 9:30pm until approximately 1:20am the next day. There was also a SigAlert in place from 9:30pm until approximately 1:20am the next day.

California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball was on scene. He was the one giving information about this horrific event.
