A drunk driver died on April 28th at the end of a car chase with police. He was fleeing arrest from the police, and he ultimately crashed into a big rig. While the crash was large, police currently do not believe the impact killed the driver. Police are currently looking into the possibility that the driver killed himself.
The chase began around 1:25 pm on Magnolia Boulevard. The pursuit lasted just three minutes according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The police department confirmed the death of the driver. A gun was located in the car.
The crash ultimately happened when he gunned through traffic. He dodged traffic successfully, but he collided with a parked semi-truck. When authorities made their way to the car, they saw the suspect was deceased. There was initial evidence of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
