A bicycle rider was killed on the spot on 5th April 2016 at around 7.45 am as he was riding to work in the morning. The accident occurred along studio city in California. The male deceased was hit by a truck along the 12000 block of Ventura place and was pronounced dead on the spot by paramedics sent to the accident scene.
According to one Alberto who said was the nephew to the deceased; the late was often riding his bicycle to work as was his norm. The deceased was later identified as a forty two year old man a resident of the North Hollywood in California by the name Cario Joseph Castaneda.
The accident was termed as the thirtieth bicycle accident in southern California since the start of the year 2016. Immediate available information reveled that he was travelling west when he was struck from behind by a private garbage collection truck at the Ventura block.
Other available reports from eye witnesses say that he was hit from behind as he came out of the sidewalk as he entered the intersection of the Ventura place. Ventura place is a short commercial street comprising four lanes running diagonally between Ventura and Laurel Canyon.
