There were two fatalities in a traffic incident between a car and two trucks. They crashed into each other on Highway 126 on Chiquito Canyon Road. In addition to the two deaths, it is reported that at least once person was critically injured and brought to the emergency room.

The crash occurred at around 9:30 in the morning between a stake bed truck, a big rig and a car. The smaller truck was at the scene of the crash with a crushed cab.

It is difficult for authorities to say precisely what caused the unfortunate incident. But they do believe that it had something to do with the dangerous intersection and the influx of traffic at that time of the day. They do not think that alcohol or drugs were involved at this point, nor do they suspect that any of the drivers were distracted by their phones or other electronic devices.

The accident shut down traffic for at least six hours after the crash. Diesel apparently spilled all over the road. The fire department was there all morning cleaning up the mess to ensure that no other car would be exposed to this hazardous material, and especially to ensure that there would not be a fire on the street.

The authorities have protected the names of the victims.
