A 27 year old man died riding his motorcycle in the early morning. He was eventually identified to be Roman Ishchuck by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Roman Ishchuck was a Sacramento resident.
The accident was not caused by a collision with another vehicle. Roman Ishchuck crashed after loosing control of his bike. He was said to have been traveling at rather high speeds in the carpool lane. His bike struck the guardrail and he died on scene.
Roman was driving a 2003 Buell motorcycle. He was also wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. There was no other description given of his attire or gear.
The accident occurred on Interstate 80’s westbound on ramp from Elkhorn Boulevard. The time was approximately 8am. Traffic was slowed as a result of the incident.
The California Highway Patrol did not report any information regarding his driving ability at the time. It will be assumed he was not under the influence of any substances, such as drugs or alcohol, at the time of his accident.
