Man Sleeping on Sidewalk Fatally Hit by Car in Hillcrest

San Diego, California (April 28, 2018) – The authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident which occurred on Friday night in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego.

The fatal pedestrian accident occurred shortly after 11 p.m. in the 3590 block of Normal Street.

According to a local news source, a man was sleeping on a sidewalk when a Honda went off the road and ran over him.

The vehicle is reported to have continued through the bushes and struck a parked vehicle.

The unidentified pedestrian died at the scene of the collision.

Meanwhile, the authorities searching for the hit-and-run motorist. The vehicle was last spotted traveling eastbound on University Avenue.

An investigation is ongoing.
