Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run at Figueroa Street Driver In South Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California (January 12, 2016) – According to a police report, a man died early Thursday morning after a hit-and-run driver struck him at the intersection of South Figueroa Street and West 53rd Street.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred at about 12:01 in the Vermont neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Responding officers found the man down near a crosswalk at the intersection. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The descriptions of the vehicle and the hit-and-run driver were not immediately available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
