Driver Dies and One Arrested in a DUI Crash at West Jensen Avenue and South Chateau Fresno Avenue

Fresno, California (January 31, 2017) – One  driver died and another arrested after to two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning at the intersection of West  Jensen Avenue and South Chateau Fresno Avenue.

The accident took around 4.39 a.m. this morning when a gray Chevrolet Avalanche and a red Honda Accord crashed head-on at the intersection killing the driver of the Honda instantly.

Police officers rushed to the scene and found the Chevrolet in the misty area of the collision site and the Honda on the opposite side.

There was thick mist in the area, but the officers believed that alcohol also contributed to the deadly collision. The Chevrolet driver arrested for DUI.

The Jensen Avenue between Chateau Fresno and Grantland avenues was blocked for hours while the authorities continued with the investigation of the accident and clearing the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
