Houston, TX: Woman Killed in Tiffin Street 5-Vehicle Crash; Car Smashes into Home

Houston, Texas (April 17, 2017) – According to a police report, a woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash that left five vehicles damaged, with one of the cars crashing into a home in northwest Houston, according to a police report.

The accident took place at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, April 15 on Tiffin Street near Broyles Street, as per the report.

According to the report, a black car and a pickup truck were southbound on Broyles Street at about 70 mph in a 35 mph zone when the pickup truck driver swerved and struck the car.

The impact caused the two vehicles to lose control, split a telephone pole and several trees before crashing into three vehicles that were parked in front of a blue house. The vehicles then rolled over upside down with the black car slamming into the side of the home.

One of the drivers, a woman in her 40s, was killed in the crash. The other driver, a man in his 40s, survived.

The name of the woman was not released pending family notification.

The incident remained under investigation.
