Woman Killed in San Antonio West Avenue Motorcycle Crash near Jackson Keller Road
San Antonio, TX: 1 Dead, 1 Injured in West Avenue Motorcycle Crash With SUV in North Side
San Antonio, Texas (April 12, 2017) – One person was killed and another injured after a motorcycle collided with a sport utility vehicle Tuesday night in San Antonio, According to a police report.
The accident took place at about 8:50in the 3800 block of West Avenue, near Jackson Keller Road in San Antonio’s North Side.
According to the report, an SUV was heading south when it turned into an apartment complex in front of the motorcycle. The bike motorcycle crashed into the SUV’s panel, and both the driver and a female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle into the pavement.
The woman died at the accident scene. The rider was taken to University Hospital with critical injuries including a head injury.
As per the report, both the rider and the woman were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
Reportedly, the SUV driver told investigators that he did not see the motorcycle. It was not immediately clear if the SUV driver will be charged.
The incident remains under investigation.
