Cynthia Basso and Daniel Basso Injured in Santa Barbara 2-Car Collision on Highway 154
Santa Barbara, California (March 18, 2017) – Two vehicles collided injuring two people in Santa Barbara Wednesday morning, according to a local news
The incident involving a Chevrolet Cruz and an Isuzu box truck took place at about 10:10 a.m. on Highway 154 a mile east of Cachuma Lake Recreation Area entrance.
According to the article, the CHP mentioned that Averville Walton, 36, was driving the Isuzu west on Highway 154 when he crossed the solid double yellow lines into the eastbound lanes for unknown reasons.
The oncoming Chevrolet swerved trying to avoid the truck, but the two cars sideswiped each other.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Daniel Basso, 67, and his 68-year-old passenger Cynthia Basso, both from Kalama, Washington, were transported to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries.
Walton was not injured in the incident.
Authorities are still investigating the crash.
