Grand Prairie, Texas (May 10, 2017) – According to authorities, one person died in an accident that led to the closure of Texas 161 for hours of Wednesday morning.

According to Grand Prairie police, the fatal incident occurred just after 3 a.m., May 10 on northbound Texas 161 near Interstate 30.

A passenger in the car was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center in critical condition as per police. The northbound lanes of Texas 161 were closed up to 9 a.m.
