A black pickup truck led to the crash of six motorcycles on 16th April 2016.
A pickup truck hit a group of six motorcyclists in Irwindale on 210 Freeway that is westbound.
According to the local authorities, the Saturday, 16th April 2016 accident left four people critically injured and three others with minor injuries. The seven were all rushed to a hospital, but one other casualty who had no visible injuries refused to receive medical attention. Information from the California Highway Patrol shows that the accident occurred at approximately 7 p.m. on the west of the Irwindale Avenue.
Investigations suggest that the six motorcyclists were riding in the first lane of the 210 Freeway at about 65 miles per hour when one of them was struck by a black pickup truck that lost control on lane number four. This led to a series of crashes by the other five motorbikes. A BMW that was in the HOV lane was also hit by two of the bikes.
According to the CHP officials, the pickup truck appeared to have ran into the bike deliberately, but the driver’s identity was not immediately released to the public. No extra information was available at the scene. A SigAlert was made by the crash, which led the closure of several westbound lanes for a couple of hours. Instigations by the local California Highway Patrol on the accident are still undergoing.
