Upland, CA: One killed in 210 Freeway Multi-Vehicle DUI Collision at Mountain Avenue

Upland, California (January 30, 2017) – One person died in an early Sunday morning multi-vehicle DUI crash near the intersection 210 Freeway and Mountain Avenue.

The fatal accident occurred at 3.17 a.m. when 3 to 4 vehicles crashed for reasons still unknown. The responding crew found about three to four vehicles at the scene. One of the vehicles was described as a black sedan.

According to an initial investigation, one of the drivers was driving under the influence. The accident led to injuries to an unknown number of patients and killed at least one person.

Eastbound traffic on 210 Freeway remained closed as the patients were being flown to a hospital.

The identity of the decedent was not immediately available pending family notification. The incident remains under investigation.
