Berry Creek, CA : A 40-year-old man was involved in a motorcycle crash on Oro-Quincy Highway April 7, 2016.
Brandon Robuck died as a result of injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash Thursday on Oro-Quincy Highway, according to officers at the scene. His motorcycle slammed into an SUV that crossed into his path.
Around 1:55 pm on Thursday, Brandon Robuck was riding his motorcycle westbound on the Oro-Quincy Highway towards Foreman Creek Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, another driver was coming eastbound driving a GMC Yukon. This Yukon driver did not notice the motorcycle and tried to turn left on Foreman Creek Road.
While making the turn, the SUV was traveling directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. Robuck did try to stop his motorcycle from crashing into the SUV, but eventually hit the right side of the truck at a high rate of speed. The major trauma that he suffered as a result of the impact caused him to be pronounced dead at the scene.
Rebecca Dobson was driving the SUV, from Bellbrook Ohio, and she was unharmed after the motorcycle crashed into her truck. According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol and drugs aren’t suspected to be determining factors in the crash. No arrests were made and the accident is still currently under police investigation.
