3 Injured, 2 Seriously, in Head-On Collision near Ocotillo Wells
Borrego Springs, (March 2, 2017) – Three people were injured after two vehicles collided head-on on Highway 78 near Ocotillo Wells Thursday morning as per CHP.
The accident occurred at 8:04 a.m. between a GMC Envoy SUV and a Hyundai Elantra sedan.
Authorities confirmed three people were injured, two with major injuries and one with moderate injuries.
The injured were a 60-year-old Borrego Springs woman, and two occupants of the Elantra, 73-year-old Wisconsin man and his wife.
The three were flown to different hospitals by different emergency helicopters.
Limited information on the crash was available as an investigation is ongoing.
