Car Accident in Santa Ana Caused by Motorist Running a Red Light

February 9, 2016

A man named Mitchell Viturino age 61 was injured in a car accident early in the morning on February 8, 2016. The accident was fatal as the authorities say that a speeding driver ran a red light and hit Viturino’s vehicle. According to the Orange County Register, the accident occurred at the intersection of North Bristol and West 1st Street. A 2006 Mercedes was speeding by and ran the red light which resulted in a 1999 Ford Mustang being broadsided. Once the accident occurred the motorist Mitchell Viturino died from the injuries he suffered.

Witnesses reported to the authorities that they saw two injured men leave the Mercedes. They saw a 40 something year old man lying in the grass and was later taken to the hospital for back and hip pain. The other man was reported to be in the Mercedes when the collision occurred and suffered minor cuts along with a broken leg. While both men denied being the driver, the authorities believe that one of them was the driver due to blood evidence left in the car which will hopefully identify the driver responsible for this accident. Many people offer their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mitchell Viturino for the loss. It is also believed that the driver of the Mercedes was speeding and also running a red light when this accident occurred.
