Vehicle Overturns in Palmdale Two-Vehicle Crash on Angeles Forest Highway

Palmdale, California (January 11, 2017) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, a two-vehicle collision was reported early  Wednesday morning on Angeles Forest Highway in Antelope Valley.

The incident took place at about 6:25 a.m. this morning just north of a fire station near Monte Cristo Campground.  Reportedly, one of the vehicles identified as a black Chevrolet Cruise struck a rock and the side of a mountain after the head-on crash.

One of the vehicles overturned after the crash.

One person in one of the vehicles managed to get out of their vehicle and was seen walking around.

Another party had no major injuries but required medical attention.

The LACFD responded to the scene and attended to the injured party.

As per the CHP report, there were boulders on the road, but it was not immediately clear if they were factors in the accident.

Limited information is available at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
