4-Year-old Zhiyu Too of Irvine Dies after Being Struck By Car at Lake Forest Drive and Romano
Irvine, California (January 16, 2017) – Zhiyu Too, 4, of Irvine died Saturday night after he was struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Irvine, according to a report.
The incident took place at about 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and Romano. According to the report, Zhiyu was crossing the street with his scooter when a Honda CR-V hit him at the intersection.
As per the report, the Honda was traveling along the Lake Forest Drive when it struck the young boy.
Zhiyu was rushed to a local hospital and was later transferred to Children’s Hospital of Orange County where he was declared dead at about 9:20 p.m.
No further information was provided. The accident remained under investigation.
