Girl, 12, Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Bermuda Dunes
Bermuda Dunes, California (February 22, 2017 – A 12-year-old girl riding a bicycle was injured Tuesday afternoon after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver, a CHP dispatch said.
The accident was logged at around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in Big O Tires’ parking lot at Washington Street and Avenue 42, police said.
As per the report, the girl was struck and injured by a vehicle that fled the crash site leaving the victim injured. The police described the suspect vehicle as a silver SUV, possibly a Ford.
The victim sustained minor injuries in the incident and was taken to John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Indio.
