San Antonio Truck Crash near Watson and Somerset Roads

San Antonio, TX:  Man Killed in Southwest Side Wreck

San Antonio, Texas (May 9, 2017) – A man died Monday morning after in a crash involving three vehicles in the Southwest Side of San Antonio, according to a police report.

The accident took place at about 6 a.m. near the intersection of Watson and Somerset Roads.

Reportedly, a truck pulling a trailer was going around a curve westbound when the trailer detached from the truck and struck a black pickup truck.  The truck carrying the trailer hit a red pickup truck that was traveling eastbound.

The driver of the black pickup, a male believed to be in his 40s, was fatally injured in the crash and died at the scene.

The drivers of the other two trucks sustained minor injuries.

The crash led to the closure of Watson Road early Wednesday.

The incident remains under investigation.
