Christopher Stanton, 25, Killed in Angwin Fiery Car Crash

Angwin, California (January 29, 2017) – According to a California Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning following a fiery single-car crash in Angwin.

The victim, identified as 25-year-old Windsor resident Christopher Stanton, was killed in the crash.

The accident occurred at about 3:33 a.m. near Howell Mountain Road and Linda Falls Terrace intersection.

According to the report, Stand was heading southbound on Howell Mountain Road in a 2002 Acura at an unknown speed when the vehicle students went off the shoulder and hit a tree near the intersection.

Reportedly, the car caught fire after the crash trapping Stanton inside. Stanton did not manage to get out of the car and was killed.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
