Car Hist and Critically Injures 39-year-old Pedestrian At Van Buren Boulevard and California Avenue
Arlington, California (January 24, 2017) – A 39-year-old male pedestrian was critically injured Tuesday morning following a major injury pedestrian versus auto crash in Arlington, according to a Riverside Police Department report.
As per the report, at about 5:32 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 24, 2017, the Riverside Police Department responded to reports of a male pedestrian struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and California Avenue.
Reportedly, a silver Honda Civic was traveling north on when a pedestrian entered a crosswalk at California Avenue leading to the crash.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital in Critical Condition.
Initial investigation showed that the Honda Civic had a green light to pass through the intersection when the accident occurred.
The Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the incident.
