Following a near brush accident with an LAPD officer’s patrol unit, a dare-devil seeking motorcyclist lost control of his bike, hitting an SUV while avoiding police, resulting in his death.
A high-speed chase broke out at 10:50 p.m. off of Crenshaw Boulevard and 50th Street, while patrol units spotted a gang of motorcyclists performing wheelies and stunts in the open streets.
While popping the wheelie, one motorcyclist almost wrecked into a Los Angeles Police Department officer’s car, then immediately speeding off on his motorcycle.
Moments later, the stunt performer collided into an SUV on Leimert and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, riding on the wrong side of the road speeding of upwards 80 m.p.h. as defined by LAPD.
The motorcyclist died on impact while not injuring the driver of the SUV, only shaken by the accident.
The impact of the crash was so brutal that the motorcycle shattered into pieces, scattering all along the sides of the roads.
No personable identities have been revealed as the crash pends investigation while the next of kin is to be informed.
