Pregnant Woman Killed in Multi-Car Crash on 71 Freeway in Chino Hills
Chino Hills, California (April 29, 2018) – A pregnant woman was killed in a multi-car crash in Chino Hills on Saturday morning, CHP reported.
The deadly crash was reported shortly before 10 a.m. April 28, on 71 Freeway just north of Butterfield Ranch Road.
The 35-year-old woman, a resident of Ontario, was reportedly driving a Hyundai southbound approaching Butterfield Ranch Road when she slowed down due to traffic.
A short time later, a BMW rear-ended the Hyundai pushing it into the rear of a pickup truck. The pickup truck consequently crashed into a tanker truck.
Responding crews extricated the injured woman from her car before being rushed to a local hospital. Sadly, the unidentified woman and her unborn baby died.
The pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
No other information was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
