Chula Vista, California (January 1, 2016) – A 62-year-old man died Friday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Chula Vista, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The accident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. on when 2007 Chevy Silverado struck a 62-year-old Chula Vista man on Fourth Avenue mid-block, near F Street.
The man, who remains unidentified, was taken to a hospital and where he was pronounced dead.
The victim had been walking across Fourth Avenue while the Chevy was southbound at the time of the accident.
As per the article, alcohol and narcotics did not appear to be factors in the deadly crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
