Encinitas, CA: Pedestrian Injured in Accident on Leucadia Boulevard
Encinitas, California (March 20, 2017) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Encinitas Monday morning, according to a local news source.
The incident occurred at about 6:32 a.m. at the intersection of Leucadia Boulevard and Town Center Place.
San Diego County Sheriff’s Office reported that a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection, according to NBC San Diego. The man was taken to Scripps La Jolla with major injuries.
His identity and state were not yet released.
Deputies confirmed that the involved vehicle pulled over and remained at the crash site. An investigation into the crash is ongoing to determine the cause.
