Forth Worth, California (May 3, 2017) – A 3-year-old boy died Monday after he was struck by a vehicle when he chased a ball into a residential street in Forth Worth, according to a police report.

According to a report, a child followed a boy into a street along the 2600 block of Refugio Avenue and was struck by a car.

The boy, identified as Josiah Marquez, was taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center where he later died.

The car driver remained at the scene after the accident. The driver was cited for driving without a license.

The incident remained under investigation.
