Man Killed in Interstate 45 Wrong-way Crash at FM 1960 in Houston
Houston, Texas (April 11, 2017) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured following a deadly wrong-way crash in Houston Sunday morning, according to a police report.
The head-on accident took place at about 4:45 a.m. Sunday, April 9 in the southbound lanes of I-45 at FM 1960.
According to the report, a man was driving an SUV north in the southbound lanes of I-45 when it collided head-on with a southbound car near FM 1960.
Reportedly, the SUV burst into flames with the wrong-way trapped inside. The wrong-way driver was killed in the crash.
The driver of the other vehicle, a man, was flown top Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.
The names of both men were not released pending notification of next of kin.
