Stephen Southam, 41, in Jail Following Injury DUI Traffic Collision on Oak Tree in La Quinta

La Quinta, CA: Man Injured in Oak Tree DUI Crash near Pete Dye; Driver Stephen Southam Arrested
La Quinta, California (January 23, 2017) – According to a report by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, a 59-year-old man was injured Sunday afternoon following a DUI traffic collision in La Quinta.
The accident took place at about 2:38 p.m. yesterday when a driver of a Club Car golf cart traveling south on Oak Tree when he made an unsafe turn near Pete Dye ejecting a male front-seat passenger.
The passenger, 59, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to JKF Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver, Stephen Southam, 41, of San Clement was arrested on suspicion of DUI and was booked into the Riverside County Jail in the city of Indio.
The accident remained under investigation.
