Fowler, CA: Man Killed After Being Hit By Big Rig On Highway 99 Near Manning Avenue
Fowler, California (January 23, 2017) – A man died late Thursday night after he was struck by a big rig while standing on the northbound Highway 99, just south of Manning Avenue near Fowler, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said that it was unclear why the man was standing in the middle of the northbound Highway 99 between Floral and Manning Avenues at about 10:47 p.m. Thursday, January 19.
Further, the report stated that the accident was so bad that the victim’s body was dismembered.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The crash led to the closure of two lanes of the highway as the authorities conducted investigations.
