Riverside, CA: Woman Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Pedley Road
Riverside, California (March 20, 2017) – A female pedestrian sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Monday morning in Riverside, as per the Riverside County Fire Department.
The accident took place at around 6:15 a.m. March 20 at the intersection of Pedley Road and Ben Nevis Boulevard, just off the 60 Freeway.
The fire department’s report initially said that the woman had died, but police later said the pedestrian had been badly injured and hospitalized.
According to the report, the CAL Fire/Riverside County Fire Department Responded to the scene and had to pull the woman out from underneath the vehicle.
The victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital with serious injuries.
The northbound lanes of Pedley Road were shut down at Mission Boulevard and the southbound lanes on 60 Freeway.
