Sylvester Moore Hurt in Stockton 5 Freeway Pedestrian Crash

Stockton, California (February 27, 2017) – A male pedestrian was struck and injured Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Stockton, according to a CHP report.

At about 6:40 p.m. Sunday, CHP officers received reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on 5 Freeway at Monte Diablo Avenue off-ramp.

According to the report, a male party was trying to cross the freeway from the center divider when he was struck by a black Buick SUV.

As per the report, the SUV driver got out of the vehicle, but the pedestrian had walked way.

After a brief search, the responding officers found the man, identified the Sylvester Moore was found at his home and was bleeding from his back. He was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
