SAN ANGELO, TX: Child, 10 Struck By Car, Injured on Kansas Avenue

SAN ANGELO, TX — A 10-year-old child was injured Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle while playing in the street in San Angelo, according to a report.

The incident occurred early evening Tuesday, May 9 in the 1700 block of Kansa Avenue.

Reportedly, the child was playing in the street when, for some reason, they ran out in front of a moving red Ford and was struck.

Police and paramedic responded to the scene. The child sustained a possible head injury and a laceration to the head.

The kid was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation. The report indicated that the child was talking and responsive.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the Ford driver was going well below the posted speed limit.

The incident remains under investigation.
