Kern County, California (January 6, 2016) – According to a police report, a man died Thursday afternoon after his car crashed into the back of a big rig on Highway 58.
Kyle Bozarth Killed In Highway 58 Big Rig Crash near Towerline Road in Arvine
The accident took place at about 1:18 p.m. between a Mazda MPV and a big rig on the eastbound Highway 58 near Highway 223.
Reportedly, Kyle Bozarth, 42, of Bakersfield was driving the Mazda heading north on 58 when he rear-ended a big rig that had stopped on the roadway.
The semi-truck had stopped due to another traffic accident ahead that involved two pickup trucks and a jackknifed big rig.
Kyle was killed in the accident while his three passengers were injured with one of them, a juvenile sustaining major injury.
The incident remains under investigation.
