SAN DIEGO – A male motorcycle driver sustained serious injuries in Clairemont Mesa East when he hit a guardrail Sunday shortly after midnight.
The serious motorcycle accident caused the 27-year old male motorcyclist to propel from his motorcycle into the dark streets near Mesa College. The driver of the bike suffered life-threatening injuries.
San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims reported, the motorcycle accident happened around 12:40 a.m. in the 3600 block of Genesee Avenue.
The male motorcyclist drove on Genesee Avenue heading southbound when he slammed into the guardrail. Paramedics transported the male to a nearby hospital for treatment, said Officer Heims
No other information is available about the male driver of the motorcycle.
The San Diego Police Department has not released the name of the 27-year old motorcycle victim.
The San Diego Police Department are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident that occurred in wee hours of the night. The Police investigators do not know if alcohol or speed contributed to the serious motorcycle accident on Sunday.
