Corona, CA: Rosa Lagunas Guzman, 55, Killed in Home Gardens Hit-and-Run Crash

Corona, California (December 19, 2016) – According to a California Highway Patrol report, a 55-year-old woman died Saturday night after being struck by a hit-and-run driver along a street in Home Gardens.

The deadly accident occurred at about 8:10 p.m. when Rosa Lagunas Guzman, 55, of Corona was struck by a silver Honda Accord in the 3700 block of Byron Street.

The mother of eight children was walking along the residential street when the Honda struck her in front of a home. The driver then fled the scene after the accident.

According to the Riverside County Coroner’s office, the Corona woman was rushed to Corona Regional Medical Center where she died.

The Honda Accord is believed to be a four-door model from years 2003 to 2007.

The deadly hit-and-run crash remains under investigation, and the police are searching for the suspected driver.
