One Dies in Magalia Pickup Truck Versus Car Crash on Coutolenc Road near Skyway

Magalia, California (January 2, 2017) – One person was died Sunday afternoon following a two-vehicle collision in Magalia, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 2:11 p.m. fatal crash occurred when a sedan and a pickup truck collided for unknown reasons at the intersection of Coutolenc Road and Skyway.

Reportedly, the vehicles were partially blocking the road.

Fire personnel responded to the scene and called emergency crews to help at least one party who had sustained major injuries.

Unfortunately, the victim did not survive their injuries and was declared dead at the scene.

The name of the victim was not immediately released.

The incident remains under investigation by the police to determine the cause and liability.
