Vehicle Hits and Injures Woman on Willow Pass Road and Nantucket Drive
Pittsburg, California (February 8, 2017) – A woman aged 22 years was hit and injured by a car in the 700 block of Willow Pass Road on Tuesday Morning, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at approximately 5.59 a.m., Feb. 7, near Nantucket Drive.
According to a report, the vehicle hit the woman when she was walking in a crosswalk.
The medical crews arrived at the accident site and rushed the woman to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek.
The vehicle driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with the authorities.
The authorities closed westbound willow pass road at Nantucket as investigations were underway.
Alcohol and drugs did not appear to have played a role in the crash.
Police are investigating the accident to determine the cause.
