Woman Killed in Dallas Northwest Highway Car Accident
Dallas, Texas (May 11, 2017) – A woman died Wednesday afternoon after colliding head-on with another car and then struck a utility pole in Dallas, according to a police report.
The deadly crash took place at about 1:30 p.m.
According to a report, a woman was driving a black Saturn Ion eastbound when, for some reason, she lost control of the vehicle in the 4100 block of Northwest Highway and crossed the center median at Frenchman’s Creek.
The woman’s vehicle crashed head-on into a white Chevy Astro van and then veered across the westbound lanes of Northwest Highway and struck a wooden utility pole.
The Saturn was then struck by another vehicle, a white full-size Chevy van.
The woman driving the Saturn Ion, described as a white female between 28 and 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Astro van, a 36-year-old man, and his 39-year-old passenger were transported to Parkland Memorial Hospital with unspecified injuries
No one in the Chevy van was injured in the crash.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
